A Trip to The Dentist

Last Thursday was a trip to a private dentist. It's near our home, just 5 minutes away across the road. I was late. wahaha.. I still can't seem to kick the bad habit of me wanting to be just on time. And yes, in most occassions, im always not- on- time. I ended up being tardy. So I took a cab down. It was so freaking near. Not even 1km from home. At the counter, I told them I was scheduled for an appoinment then the assistant took a look at their organiser and then at the clock to check the time. I know she might be thinking, "Oh, she's 10 minutes late." While in my mind, I was quite repose cause there was still a patient inside being catered to. nyaha. The assistant told me to wait. And so I did, obediently and hello, they were the ones that turned out to be late upon serving me. Then a latter came by, she turned out to be late as well. She went ahead before me despite my first appearance at the clinic. I read every poster in the clinic that was up on their walls. hahaha.. From Braces to Root canal treatment, diseases and even the products's leaflets and brochures on the table. I read all of them and finally, the tv was switch on miraculiously by don't- know- who. I took some pamphlets home. The ones about products concerning braces like the yummy mousse the dentist uses. hehehe... nice. And all sorts. 30 minutes later I was called in. I was sited on the chair. I was left there for 5-10minutes waiting. Holyness... I should have brought my phone to take pics of the dentist stuffs. wahahaha... They're so cool. The gadgets they use, those needles, the sink, the light... everything! wahahaha... But I just ended gazing at them with much appreciation. Came the denist who merely did nothing but check up on me. Interviewed me about my braces since they were placed and started in the Phils. I gave him my model teeth and an x-ray. Both of which he kept. I was ordered to take another x-ray. Frm head to neck. It'll determin how my alignment should be. And elo~, in phils, they didnt say anythin about that sorta xray. oh wells, this is SIngapore. ive yet to take the xray on Monday. Its my own will, my free time. haha, my choice. Thenafter, Ive gota call them make an appointment, let the dentist analyse my case and perhaps start from scratch, this orthodontic again. Sheta, AGAIN. Which means what I started in the phils would be just nothing. It's a naught!! UGH!! I wasted 20k on it then. DAMNIT. Because there's an extraction option. 4 teeth to be extracted out of Karen's mouth. 2 above and so does below but then, the alignment wont be so accurate. So, hail oh worthy, I just hope they won't extract any tooth. No way. Extraction is a big business. U cant be extracted as long as a lady's having her menstruation and if she's feeling weak. Even a sligh headache won't do the job. =P!! haha... It's that serious. And duh, the patient can't eat for 2 days a minimum. =(. The dentist did NOTHING. He just told me to open and close my mouth while he checks it back and forth. Smile at him while he puts a pencil aligh to my nose. sheeze... and guess what?? I paid 70 bucks for that. Sheta... And hello, they simply sucked out my saliva twice when my mouth was told to be open and rinsed my mouth 3 times by just a small cup of water. Gah... I had just 50 cash in hand. I had to withdraw money then. I didnt anticipate the price to be that high. Besides, consultation fee was just 25 bucks and I ended with 70?!?! Holyness... If Im gonna start with scratch, shet... I really did waste money in the phils and hella, braces here are so freaking dear. It starts with 3,500!! sheeta... and in conversation, that's 105,000 pesos! SHITA!!!! Wow.... That's enough for 2 orthodontic treatments. 2!!! And more things to spend with, with that amount of money. =( A trip to Phils again will be enuf. This is sucha pain the the pocket. Damn it. I hope not to start from scratch since the main purpose was them to just continue on my treatment. CONTINUE!!! not start from the drawing board! Ugh..... This is the problem. Because my dentist here is tryin to understand what the dentist in the phils had as an idea. =( If only telepathy works. If only... le 9 avril 2006. 5.05pm |
